Cambridge Garden Building

Developing out of a pragmatic need for a downstairs lavatory in a house with insufficient space inside, this quirky project resulted in an unusual and materially rich little building. The ‘half octagon’ shape reduces it’s apparent mass within this compact urban garden and the copper cladding, which will weather and change as it ages, provides a highly textural focal point which enhances rather than detracts from the planting around it.
